Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions towards young women.
The firm has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
