Eulogies Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt able to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has passed that I can now articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced spending more time together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the film, commenting that he cannot recall "a single day without laughter".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official decided to block the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the investigation to limit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a public database citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

After the deaths, public figures offered different responses.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making provocative remarks that were broadly criticized by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the critics last week. Speaking on his show, Rogan characterized the remarks as "disturbing" and remarked they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by proposing that an adviser ought to have intervened when the impulse to comment on the tragedy was made.
