A individual charged with pursuing Kate McCann allegedly left her a phone message which questioned: "what if I am Madeleine?"

Madeleine McCann's case has never been resolved

On Monday, the court learned call records and evidence retrieved from phones documented Ms Wandelt repeatedly requesting Madeleine's mother for a biological test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most publicized child disappearance cases and is still unresolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

Another voicemail, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I realize I'm heavy and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I believe."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "Imagine there is a slight possibility that I am she? What then? Is that not significant for you?"

"I do not need money, I possess a living here in Poland, I only wish to discover," the message continued.

The panel was told that via emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a effort to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who compiled the data, informed the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also communicated with close associates of the McCanns, based on the communication logs.

On that date, Mr McCann responded to a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's voicemail declaring "I won't give up and I intend to demonstrate my position."

The court heard the co-defendant established a connection online with Ms Wandelt before assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' property in Leicestershire in last December.

Phone records showed Mrs Spragg had contacted via communication app to Mrs McCann to state the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she deserved to be taken seriously in the months preceding the visit to that location, that area, in that winter.

The court learned message exchanges between the two defendants, in last November, planning attempting to acquire Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from cutlery at a restaurant.

"We have to make a stand," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the trip to their home, Mrs Spragg dispatched a text which expressed: "We are positioned adjacent to the McCanns' home with our headlights off like investigators. I wanted to accomplish this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The case continues.
